I interviewed my grandmother about her story of the Nanjing massacre. Although she did not experience the Nanjing massacre, she told me the massive influence on her and three countries: China, Japan, and America. The massacre resulted in her to have a different life track than before. She survived from it because her family took her escaping to Chongqing before a few days of the incident, otherwise, she may undergo the horrible massacre. Her family was poor in Chongqing, and she cannot own the same quality of life when she was in Nanjing. Due to the massacre, there are many soldiers and citizens died from both Chinese and Japanese side. The security zone established by American was held to protect the Chinese refugees from the merciless death.
